Preserving the Tradition of Gurmat Sangeet
ਉਸਤਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸੰਗੀਤ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ is an initiative of Raj Jog The Compassion dedicated to teaching and preserving the rich tradition of Gurmat Sangeet.
The Academy provides free training in Gurmat Sangeet, making this learning accessible to students who wish to connect with Gurbani and Sikh musical traditions.
What We Teach
Students receive guidance in:
- Gurmat Sangeet and Raag-based Kirtan
- Harmonium
- Tabla
- Tanti Saaz
- Gurmukhi
Training is provided under the guidance of experienced Ustaads and music teachers, helping students develop both their musical skills and understanding of the tradition.
For Everyone
The Academy welcomes boys and girls of different age groups. Students are encouraged to learn, practise and participate in Kirtan, giving them an opportunity to share their learning with the Sangat.
The Academy also provides students with opportunities to perform Kirtan during Raj Jog’s Samagams.

Our aim is to keep the tradition of Gurmat Sangeet alive and accessible to the next generation, while encouraging young people to develop a deeper connection with Gurbani, music and Sikh heritage.
